I think of him often and J2 and I both miss him dearly. We would like to thank you, his blog readers and pals, for all your kind thoughts, messages and gifts, they really did mean a lot to us. We were touched that the musings of a small grumpy dog were enjoyed by so many.I wanted to end Jackson's blog on a positive note. Many of you Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com27tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-17439813576565426352010-05-10T11:06:00.011+01:002011-04-19T13:26:16.201+01:00RIP JacksonOne of the last photos of Jackson, taken by Diane at the recent Fox Terrier Fun WalkIt is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that Jackson died peacefully in his sleep last night. When I woke early this morning he was still warm but already gone.As many of you already know, he battled against many health issues during the (almost) 6 years we had with him, including degenerative disc Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com105tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-29684499633421557682010-04-13T07:00:00.002+01:002010-04-14T21:06:40.483+01:00Good Friday was a very good day...Every day is a good day when you're a terrier, right? There are always new dogs to bark at, humans to ignore, smells to sniff, things to be grumpy about...But I just knew that Good Friday was going to be an extra special day because J1 was tidying up, which let's be honest, doesn't happen often around here.I had no idea what was in store until a car rolled up outside and J1 took me to the front Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-50885580359484806442010-03-31T20:42:00.006+01:002010-03-31T21:00:11.901+01:00Been feeling pawly...I know that many of you have already heard on the wire that I've been a bit under the weather recently. It seems I had a mild stroke and temporarily lost the use of my back legs. The world went a bit lop-sided for a while but never fear, I'm on the mend now! Thanks to all my pals, old and new, for your good wishes and messages of support. I hope to be able to visit all your blogs soon, but until Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com40tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-86328509495489027472010-01-17T11:00:00.003+00:002010-01-17T11:03:30.791+00:00Walking the DogHeard about the new graphic novel that features a Wire Fox Terrier? It's called "Walking the Dog" by British illustrator David Hughes and stars his WFT Dexter. Some of you may have already read about it cos J1 and her previous WFT, Watson, are mentioned in it and she's been blabbing about it all over the place. Take a look at her Forever Foxed blog to read more.Anyway, the book is strictly for Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com41tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-81933864252576479752010-01-05T06:44:00.015+00:002010-01-05T19:53:38.732+00:00Please form an orderly queue for Pawtographs...Some of you may have already read on my wirey pal Eric's blog that the pair of us were going to be featured in the February 2010 issue of the UK magazine, Your Dog. Well, it's finally out and we are included in a 6 page breed feature about Wire Fox Terriers.I was dismayed to discover that J1 has muscled into MY photo and is mugging away. These included Sally & Paddy and their new foster friend, Douglas and my good pal, Blue who was acting as official photographer. I slipped her a fiver beforehand to make sure she only got my good side, what do you think, was it worth the money? We also had a handful of handsome Welsh Terriers along, Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-69931508759991875492009-09-12T11:56:00.002+01:002009-09-12T12:00:05.342+01:00Calling all UK Fox Terriers (again)......and anyone else wishing to attend a "meet and greet" with me, hehehe! My pals Sally and Paddy and I are organising a Fox Terrier Fun Walk to be held at 11.00 on Saturday 10th October, Undercliff Walk, Brighton. Please visit Fox Terrier Rescue for more information and to register interest.Pawtographs will be available on request.Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-91973548900434784602009-08-15T12:07:00.006+01:002009-08-15T12:29:40.902+01:00Birthday BarkoutYup, it's been five years since I moved in with the Js and we also decided to use this date to celebrate my birthday. Happy Barkday to me!Here I am sporting my new bandana-thingy made by the lovely Brenda, with the assistance of her 2 wirey pals, Alle and Jack. We've had our ups and downs over the past few years but on the whole, by and large, all things considered the Js aren't too bad (for Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com27tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-29040362744645523702009-07-05T07:24:00.000+01:002009-07-05T07:53:06.656+01:00My Carriage Awaits...I've decided that being wheeled about is great, I'd highly recommend it. Why waste potential toy-destroying energy on walking when you can get your human slaves to push you around like royalty? And you can bark at other dogs without them being able to get at you, hehehe!Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com40tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-90928282092572453912009-06-09T08:11:00.002+01:002009-06-09T19:08:45.072+01:00Pseudowhat???Look at my red beard. Guess what I had for my tea...Sorry pals. I know it's been an age since my last post and some of you have been concerned about me. The truth is, I've been really slowing down and the Js have been trying to find out if it's old age (hey, I'm still in my prime!) or something else. After lots of vet visits and stuff it seems I have an extremely rare neuromuscular disorder Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-27132907248087147312009-04-19T14:35:00.048+01:002009-04-22T21:02:28.682+01:00Fox Terrier Fun!What do you call a bunch of 15 Fox Terriers? Or was it 16? J1 lost count. Is it a Bark of Terriers? We certainly were noisy at times.Today was the first Fox Terrier Fun Walk in Stanmer Park, Brighton and I finally got to meet my blogging pals, Sally and Paddy and made several new friends. It was a pleasant sunny day and we had a lovely stroll through the countryside, stopping for photo Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com37tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-57804585292880519182009-03-28T08:04:00.007+00:002009-03-28T19:30:52.326+00:00Testing times...Hey pals, some of you know that I've been back and forth at the vet again this week. I've been a bit under the weather and the vets are trying to figure it all out. I like to keep them on their toes. I've had the usual poking and prodding tests and on Thursday I had chest and bladder x-rays again. Trouble is, they were "inconclusive" so have been sent off to the specialists. I'll keep you posted Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com36tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-5707101587037347222009-03-15T13:32:00.005+00:002009-03-15T13:42:06.821+00:00Calling all UK Fox Terriers.......and anyone else wishing to attend a "meet and greet" with me, hehehe! My new pal Sally is organising a Fox Terrier Fun Walk to be held at 11.00 on Sunday 19th April, Stanmer Park, Brighton. Please visit Fox Terrier Rescue for more information and to register interest.Pawtographs will be available on request.Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-6351783965105642992009-02-16T18:56:00.008+00:002009-02-16T19:17:40.928+00:00Celebration time...Come on!Today marks my second blogoversary, woo hoo! Her name is Sally and she lives in the UK. Like me, she was rehomed by Fox Terrier Rescue and you can read her story here (scroll down past me). Please visit her blog to bark hello and remember to tell her I sent you.Paws off, I saw her first.Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com29tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-84157868859990116582009-02-02T18:44:00.008+00:002009-02-02T19:47:52.108+00:00It was a Funny Old Day...I was a bit grumpy this morning when I awoke to be faced with a garden full of snow. It's the thickest snow we've had in the South East of the UK for YEARS! As you know, I like my home comforts and I certainly didn't appreciate getting snow clumps stuck to my legs. The only good thing about today was that everything ground to a halt and people were all cheerful and stuff. There were no buses or Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com34tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-88826498338305874462009-01-31T15:05:00.004+00:002009-01-31T15:14:01.670+00:00Want a pawtograph? At last, fame and fortune await! No, I haven't been signed up for the new Tintin film (Steven, I'm still available and waiting for your call!). But I AM the star of J1's latest Forever Foxed card:I know this seems like yet another shameless plug but I was so excited to see my handsome old self on the card! You can read more about it here on J1's boring blog if you like, but don't feel obliged or Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com26tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-90618026965572176072009-01-25T13:27:00.008+00:002009-01-25T16:33:31.047+00:00Cuz and the HairdryerHey pals, I know that some of you may have been wondering what I've been up to these past few weeks. Well, J1 bought me 2 new cuz toys, a medium and a large, and so I've been mostly eating, sorry, playing with them. J1 sawed the feet off them before she gave them to me to make the challenge of destroying them rather more difficult. Here's a quick video of me taken this morning. I got rather wet onJackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-69838588441650590782008-12-31T12:01:00.002+00:002008-12-31T16:17:47.475+00:00My lovely Christmas and Happy New Year to you allHey pals, was Santa Paws generous to you? Did you find goodies in your Christmas stocking or a lump of coal? I received my usual tasty biscuit from the Dog Dog's Bakery, along with some pawsome treats from Eric and non-blogging pals, Pumpkin and the Woodingdean Terrors. Thanks so much, they were all very tasty. A Substanial Wire like me has got to keep his strength up!I spent Christmas day with Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com46tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-87218143917959692502008-12-28T17:08:00.005+00:002008-12-28T17:20:24.810+00:00Twit!I always thought J1 was a bit of a twit. My suspicions are now confirmed as she has signed up for Twitter. Yet another distraction to keep her away from updating my blog. You can tweet to her here, if you like. She's already following a few of you, but not in a creepy way, (or so she says!), hehehe...Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com24tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-50866984108001520012008-12-24T08:42:00.003+00:002008-12-24T16:38:31.578+00:00Merry Kissmas!Jackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com35tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-23327028389076535662008-12-20T11:36:00.008+00:002008-12-20T12:01:24.437+00:00Eye, eye!I had to go back to the hospital last week for them to look at my eyes. Yawn. The cataracts in my left eye are very pronounced. That sort of explains why I keep walking into things. My right eye is doing OK though. The ophthalmologist had lots of spooky equipment and kept turning the lights out to look into my eyes with ginormous goggley things and bright lights, but I didn't mind cos I'm used toJackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com32tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807923872844787646.post-26628980490934240042008-12-11T19:39:00.004+00:002008-12-13T10:38:39.780+00:00I ALMOST got to meet Molly & Taffy...J1 was out all Sunday afternoon, and I have only just learned that she was in London gallivanting with my pals Blue and Molly & Taffy and lots of Welsh Terriers. She went along to a WELTAF (Welsh Terriers & Friends) walk through Hyde Park, Green Park and St James Park. She forgot to take her camera along (probably because she felt guilty about not taking me) but you can see lots of photosJackson's J1 and J2http://www.blogger.com/profile/15378062801581796919noreply@blogger.com37
