This blog follows the musings of Jackson, a rescue Wire Fox Terrier during the last 3 years of his life. He was rehomed from Fox Terrier Rescue in 2004 and it was our privilege to care for him for the next six years. During this time he overcame many terrible health problems, including degenerative disc disease, lung cancer, primary hyperparathyroidism, cataracts, kidney stones and Cushing's Disease. He was a very brave little dog indeed. Jackson passed away very peacefully on the 10th May 2010; he is sorely missed.
There have been lots of famous fox terriers, both real and fictional. Here are just a few of my favourites: Beauty, one of the few dogs to win the Dickin Medal (the animals' VC) during WWII, Milou (Snowy) from Herge's "Tintin" books, Asta (my hero) from the "Thin Man" films, Monsieur Bob from Agatha Christie's "Dumb Witness", Montmorency from "Three men in a boat" by Jerome K Jerome, Caesar, King Edward VII's favourite dog. Don't even think about inundating me with loads I've missed, this is my blog, not yours!
