Trip to the vet

Do I look a bit unhappy? It's because I'm going into hospital today. I'm having a tumour removed from my parathyroid gland. I don't think I'll be posting any messages for a few days because I'll be too busy making J1 & J2 wait on me hand and paw. Whenever I go to the vet I get special treats so I wonder what they'll give me once I'm back home again? A new toy, perhaps? Whatever it is, it'd better be good!
Update by J1 on Wednesday 28th
Jackson's surgery went well and he is doing just fine.

Hot dog!

Meet Sparky the Miniature Dachshund. She's one hot dog! We've been for walks together but I don't think she likes me very much because she always barks at me. Boy, has she got a loud voice! Maybe if she sees her photo here on my blog she'll be my friend.

Dinner for two (continued)

Here's Molly on our date last Thursday. I think she looks pretty foxy, don't you? We had pasta for dinner, with a sprinkling of parmesan. Pasta is one of my favourite things especially with lots of lovely tomato sauce which makes my beard go all red and sticky. Molly is a bit camera shy and didn't want any photos taken of her while she was eating. I think she was a bit worried I would finish mine first and then try and eat her dinner too. As if!

Dinner for two

Molly's coming round for dinner tonight so I've got lots to do.

Firstly I've got to spruce myself up a bit. Is this my best side?

Then I've got to decide what to make for dinner.

Better remember to hide my toys.

I think I've got time for a quick snooze before she gets here.

Beach boys (and gal)

Here I am again with my Irish Terrier pals Molly and Seamus. I think I've told you about them, they're my best buddies. Even though they're not Wire Fox Terriers they're still plenty of fun. Molly likes to boss us boys about, but hey, we let her cos she's soooooo darn cute. Can you imagine the mischief we get up to when we're all together?!

What's in a name?

Let's get one thing straight. I am not named after Michael Jackson. No way, José. I'm called Jackson because of the song (either the Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash or the Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood version).
When I was rehomed nobody knew my name and I wasn't going to let on. What do you think it was? Any guesses? J1 & J2 spent ages calling me every name under the sun trying to figure out what it was.
I think I got lucky because I could have been called Trampas after Doug McClure in The Virginian. What kind of stupid name is that? Luckily J2 didn't like it and put his foot down.

Good dog, bad dog. Which is which?

This is me with one of my toy friends. I like him better than a real dog because he doesn't mind me pushing him around.

Watson

This is Watson. J1 & J2 rehomed him from Fox Terrier Rescue, but he died of cancer in August 2004. I never knew him but apparently he was a real character. J1 says he was very greedy and once ran the length of the park to steal a sandwich from someone's plate in the cafe. How cool is that?!

My pal Molly

Here I am with my pal Molly the Irish Terrier. We both like to chase balls, but unlike me she doesn't bring them back. What a pain! She runs off and drops the ball and then tries to steal mine too. We don't like getting our feet wet so we don't go too near the sea. If the ball goes in the water one of the humans has to rescue it. Brrrrr!

Snow dog

Hey, thought you might like to see this photo of me which was taken in January 2006. Do you like my snowy beard? I was looking for my pink ball, but I think Molly the Irish terrier might have stolen it again!
I love chasing my ball but I'm not allowed to do it anymore because I've got a bad neck.
