J'apprends à dessiner les chiens

Bonjour, mes potes!

How I wish I could draw. Molly's owner knows that I would like to be more artistic and so she bought me this book from her recent holiday in France.

Now, my French isn't up to scratch (sorry Faya and Taky) but I think it reads:

I learn how to draw dogs

I was delighted to see that it gives instructions on how to draw a Wire Fox Terrier

The description of Wire Fox Terriers reads "Rapide et malin..."
I wasn't sure what malin meant so I did a quick search:
French word / mot français:
malin

(a) smart, cunning, crafty, clever, sneaky

(b) malicious, malignant
I wholeheartedly agree that I'm smart, clever (and maybe a little bit cunning, crafty and sneaky), but malicious and malignant? Moi? Does that sound like the Jackson that you all know and love?
Once I have mastered the basic shapes here's what the end result should look like, according to the book:

Now excuse me for being picky, but have you ever seen a Wire Fox Terrier wearing an orange helmet?

Hi Jackson ...

ha ha ha ... you are very funny with your orange helmet ...

but I prefer you without it ...

When we say in french "ce chien est malin" ... you can say 2this hound is intelligent" ...

See you

Taky

I like the step by step guide to drawing a dog. No good for my Mummy sadly she would end up with a scribble.

Hi Jackson,

It does also say we are the most famous of little dogs...it must be that orange helmut!!! And then there are those Tintin books.

I think "malin" does fit us as we are definitely clever, wily, full of ruses...

Vive le fox terrier!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha...you are SO much cuter (and no where near malicious) than that doggie in the picture. But that does look like a very cute book. Any Boston Terriers in that book? Probably not, huh?

Lots of Licks, Ruby

An orange hat and malicious, absolutely NOT!

I wonder how they would draw me?

Hi Jx,

I know you are smart and handsome. But why you wear a red underpant on your head?

Hi Jax. I think the orange helpmet could be cute, but probably only on Asta NY. Orange is her signature color, remember?

Oh, that's a cute drawing of a Fos Terrier but yeah, I've never seen or met Fox Terrier infact, any dogs with orange helmets on their heads. LOL!

The orange helmet is odd looking! Can you use it like a crash helmet and avoid hurting your head?

Love ya lots,
Maggie

That looks like a real good book, Jackson. Thank you for sharing it and showing us how to draw a wft. My mom needed that lesson. She can't draw anything. I agree with you about the orange helmut. That really doesn't do anything for us. Orange is not our color.

Why did that book call us malicious and malignant? i think we are sweet and adorable!

Lots of Koobuss Kisses.
Love ya,
Your friend Koobie

iN ANSWER to your question (sorry fingers n the wrong keys there).....

No, I have never seen a WFT wearing an orange helmet. And if I had, I would request immediate medication and sedation......

Good pictures! love and licks, Marv xxxx

Maybe the bright orange hair is why Mom is always saying that I have "some splainin' to do?"
