Jackson's brain

I had my MRI scan earlier today and this is my artists impression of what the vets saw, revealing my innermost thoughts:

As you can imagine they were very impressed!

Now here's the science bit..

The good news is that the MRI of my brain was normal. This means that it's unlikely that I have a brain tumour, which is what was suspected. They also had another look at the degenerated discs in my neck and said they haven't got any worse. Hurrah! They took a sample of my spinal fluid for testing and we should get the results back in a day or two.

As you can imagine it's very frustrating to keep having all these tests and not knowing exactly what's wrong with me. That's why I was so delighted to see both the Astas and novice nurse Lacie this evening on my return from hospital. I've certainly been keeping them on their toes with my requests for them to wait on me hand and paw and spoonfeed me nokedli. They might be staying for quite some time...

That is good news, Jackson. Even though it is still no news about what is the root of the problem, it's great that there's no tumour.

Impressive brain, though! Shoulda known it really.

Keep getting spoiled by those lovely nurses too!

My, Jackson, what a big brain you have!!!

We're so glad it's normal -- although we think "normal" is a relative thing when it comes to wirey behaviour.

Jax-son, it sounds like you're still in good spirits even through all of your "tests". We never really did well on tests. But you seem to be passing each and every one of them! Hang in there buddy :-)

I am super impressed with your brain, I think we must be related! I am frustrated with you that the docs just don't know. I guess if you have to be tested over and over having the best nurses ever helps ease the pain.

Hi Jackson,

Glad that the tests are coming back good so far. Just wish they could pinpoint exactly what's going on. At least you have the very lovely Astas and Lacie there to nurture you. Enjoy their care!!

Oh Jackson, I am blushing at the compliment of my nursing skills...but Asta and Asta are weally the ones doing all the hard work. It's amazing how they can get Dunstan and the other wheeled doggies to fetch supplies for us and run errands for special broths and such. Asta taught me how to make here special chicken soup...it should be ready soon for me to feed it to you.

None of us were surprised at the size of you brain. You are such a smart dear foxy dog, Jackson, that you had to have an outstanding cranuim. Pawsonally, I wonder if Scruffy has a brain at all? I mean, what if they scanned him and there was NOTHING between his ears as I strongly suspect?

We will stay as long as you need us to...it's been wonderful playing with my sweet Dunstan too...

Healing barks, Lacie

Hi Jackson,
I saw you had tests for Cushings and an MRI for your brain.
I am a 9 1/2 year old Irish Terrier who suddenly had two seizures this month and will have those tests very soon.
What do you think?
