Stringer and Barksdale

My name is Barksdale and this is my pal Stringer. We're the latest knitted additions to the Jackson household...

We're far more handsome than the other toys, doncha think? Do you like my rather natty jumper selection?

I can also go nekkid (ladies may wish to avert their eyes, hubba hubba!).

J1 found me, Barksdale, on the Pet Heaven website. They have also produced a beautiful book for knitting stylin' duds and stuff for dogs, so please check it out here. J1 can't knit for toffee, so there's no hope of me or Jackson getting anything made in the near future. Hrumph!

By the way, Stringer is actually a catnip toy, that's why he's on a bit of string. Yes, he was intended as a plaything for CATS! Oh the indignity! But don't let on I told you that as I said it would be our little secret.

We'll be taking over Jackson's blog occasionally with our adventures. Don't tell him though, as he's rather taken against us and keeps trying to bite our heads off. The nerve!

Oops... I better hide this from jie jie. I dun want her to get crazy ideas and start to knit for me. You know that we literally live in an oven 24/7 over here in Singapore right?

Dewey Dewster said... yer looks 'n yer outfits....too bad Gram can only crochet 'n not knit or she'd be trying ta make one herself...some people are just so creative it makes ya sit back 'n wonder if ya have a mind at all......we gotta check out that site.....of course, if anything like that came here, it would have to sneak in the back door in a plastic container and be hidden immediately...

Ha! I suggest your first adventure should be opening up a photocopy shop. Every good pair of ... erm .... dogs needs a cover .... I mean business .... to, you know, keep them out of trouble.

Love it!!!!

All the dogs are losing control of their blogs to wheelies, stuffies and menacing siblings!

Hi Stringer & Barksdale! You guys are cute & very small. I can't believe you guys were made to be killed by the CATS! That's animal cruelty if you ask me...Well, you guys are really lucky to be bought by Jax's hoomans. You will be well taken cared.

We did think that BarksDale was just the cutest until we went to the website and saw this, "The knitted fox terrier is very much better behaved than the real version"
How dare they! We can't believe they would say that! The nerve!

Love ya lots,

Hello Barksdale and Stringer. You look very handsome woolies. How kind of J1 to rehome you. Don't let Jackson near you or you'll be unravelling all over the place .... Mom's gonna go get the pattern to clone you two, she hasn't seen that pattern and unbelieviably she can actually knit ...can you see a cottage industry being started in knitted wireys. . .??!!!!

Stringers and Barksdale,
You better watch out! did you see what Jackson did to Lobster? He will destroy you both in a nano second and before you can say "what the..." you will be nothing but bits of yarn and stuffing laying about the room!
I'm afraid for your survival in that household.

So adorable!!!!

Yeah, we think its safer that you guys stay away from Jackson. Not that Jackson is a meanie but you guys are too irresistable.

Jax! I just missed you in the morning chat today, but I love, love, love that you know that Burt Lancaster movie. My post was inspired by it, since we just came across it on late night tv the other day. Saw it a few years ago ..... great film!!!!! But I don't run into many pups who have seen it.

Hey Barksdale,
You guys are certainly cute! Mama used to knit & crochet, but hasn't done it for years! She's too busy to do that now since she sews & is learning needlefelting plus going to restore some stuffies with new mohair. We can't wait to hear some of your adventures. Have you played with the wheelies yet?? hehehe!
Luv & Wirey Hugs!

I think you need to look after your blog Jackson. First there are dogs on wheelies and now there are stuffies. Soon you won't be allowed to post. Or maybe - it could be overtaken by CATZ!

Kirby said...

Hi Jackson,

Your stuffies are so cute. I think the catnip toy is kind of funny since it is in the shape of a dog! I don't know how you don't start chomping on those stuffies, I'd have already eaten them if I lived there. He he! Can't wait to hear about their adventures!

Your pal,

Hi Barksdale and Stringer. I think you are wise to stay away from Jackson. He'a adorable, but he plays rough and you might be in pieces very quickly. I like your jumpers very much. I like kitties, but I think there is just something wrong about making a catnip toy in the form of a WFT.
