Cat Scan results

Today has been a very difficult day for us all. We have been anxiously waiting for the vet to ring with my CAT Scan results.

The scan showed that the mass is a solitary tumour and it doesn't seem to have affected the nearest lymph nodes, which is good news. This means it is operable so I will go into hospital on Monday and have surgery to remove it on Tuesday morning, all being well.

We are very nervous about the operation but feel this is the only way forward as the prognosis without it is 6 months. Please continue to cross your paws for me and the Js, I think we'll need it to get through the next week.

Now to cheer us all up, here's a photo of me from happier times on the beach with Seamus & Molly...

hi Jackson, Pumpkin here. It sounds like a rough time ahead for all of you, but all in all and in the long run, as you say - good news. No wonder you hate the vet, though. Grrr, i'll sort 'em out for you. Now, get some feasting done over the weekend, before the fasting commences.

Jackson and the Js,

That does sound like good news. We know it will be awful to wait until Tuesday and then while Jackson is undergoing the surgery -- our Mom was beside herself for a simple little tooth-cleaning job or when JH had stitches for his cheek puncture -- but with all the Power of the Paw circulating, we know he'll do just fine. Thank Dog for this news, the preferred prognosis you were hoping for.

Jackson! We are so relieved to hear that the tumour is localized and can be removed. Mommy tells me that this is very serious surgery ("What? She thinks neutering us was a walk in the park?!" said Mica and Petey,"No, we understand...") and that we need to send lots of prayers to the doctors that they are wise and precise and that the Js have strength and courage.

Jackson, frankly, you have the easy part here, my friend! So this weekend, eat all your favorite treats, destroy a good half dozen toys in record time, then just sit back and absorb all the good wishes and healing white light that is shining on your wiry self!

Hey, there's a new building going up in our neighborhood called One Jackson Square!!! Are you moving here to be close to Asta and me for your recovery?

Lots of love,

Petey and his Mommy and Mica, too

Jackson! Scary as it all sounds, this is great news. I know you will be so brave with that surgery. It's nothing for a SWFT like you. The hardest part will be the fasting, I expect.

The J's nerves on going to be standing up on end! My mom looks super silly when her nerves stand up on end. Try not to laugh at them ... at least not when they're looking.

My paws haven't uncrossed yet ... and they won't until I hear you are in recovery. Sure, it makes peeing difficult, but toughies like you and me, we know how to work through these things.

SO it seems that all we have been doing has been helping. We can only imagine what your J's have been going through....so here is the next stage of the plan..Agatha is going to join the girsl(Asta and Lacie) to help with your care(in fact she has already gone to the store to get sweet potato chews and she is going to blenderize them for your post op recovery) We all now to increase our barking capablities( which as you know for us terriers wil not at all be diificult) and we are going to tell PL1+2 that we must walk for a longer period of time at night to look longer at the dogstar...We all love you my main man and are here at you beck and call....Give an extra kiss and lick over to the J's too......POWER FROM ALL OF OUR PAWS........love and a trillion kisses(part of the hoist it up plan....)
