More barkday stuff and my staples are removed...

Watering the tomato and chilli plants

Here is yet more lovely barkday and get well stuff. I know that lots of you put cards and messages on your blogs about me so I'm really sorry if I've missed anyone out here:

From Koobuss:

From Georgeous:

George very kindly asked if he could buy me a birthday gift, but instead I asked him to make a donation to his favourite charity. Thanks pal, you're a real star!

Here's a jolly good stash from Eric. He prescribed peanut butter and plenty of it, for medicinal purposes, of course! He also sent a purple rubbery squirrel toy not shown in this photo, cos that was what J1 used to distract me while she was taking these pictures.

From my lovely non-blogging wirey pal, Angel and her mum, Sheri:

(Fab card! Why is he dressed like a lumberjack though?)

Pawsome gifts from Agatha & Archie...Can't WAIT to get my teeth into them...

These gifts were in a lovely Disney gift box with a Mickey & Pluto picture but I sort of ripped it up in my enthusiasm to get to the toys...
I went to the vet this morning to have those nasty staples taken out (BTW there were 22 of 'em not 21. J1 can't count). And guess what? They DO use a funny staple remover thing. They all came out quite easily apart from the very last one which was twisted, but I was superbrave and didn't flinch. Just barked afterwards. A lot.
J2 says I look like Sparky in the Tim Burton film, Frankenweenie with all his scars and stuff...

Marginally better than looking like FrankenStanley. I suppose. (Click here to remind yourself of the full horror).

G'day J mate,
Sounds like you're doing really well. We're so relieved. Guess you have to have check ups on a regular basis. We'll keep crossing our paws that the nasty doesn't come back.
Take it easy and have a good weekend buddy. Hope the sun shines for you.

Hey Jax!

Great to see you up and surveying the grounds! Hey, are you up for a boys-only trip to Las Vegas? No nurses, just the chaps. Got a seat already reserved for you on Aire Ruby!

Check out my blog for the details!

I know those staples were starting to pull and make ya uncomfortable, Jax!! You are getting stronger everyday!

Now don't be shy bout your lopsided haircut...it's gonna be the latest style all over the UK...you'll grow out before you even know it...and hopefully before it gets cold!! BRRRRR!

So you went to Vegas with the boyz...this gives the other nursies and I plenty of time to freshen your bed and scrub your room. We have to run to Gussie's on Monday night...but we'll split shifts so you won't be unattended.

Love to you sweet Jax!!!

Oh Jackson I'm Sooo pleased you are feeling better! I'm glad you picked up my blog card - silly Mumma has a paper one in her bag that she never got to post - So unreliable are the hoomans sometimes. She did tell me that there was a charity box for doggies near her market stall last saturday and she put a barkday donation in, after buying snackies for me from the pet stall of course.

That's great news about the tumor removal, Jackson!! I'm feeling optimistic that it hasn't (and won't) spread and the worst is behind you :)

By the way, I had both my cataracts removed, and can see very well now. But no more surgeries for you for now. Please rest up and get 100% better!

Hope your birthday was extra extra special!

Hi Jackson

How are you? It must be soooo much better without all the staples. Well done for being so brave. You didn't have your teeth around anybody's hand did you while they removed them? Well it can help you know hanging onto something when in discomfort!!! Honest.

Hey, Jax!

You are so brave & tough, man. I HATE going to the vet and can barely stand to have my paws touched, let alone having staples removed.

That scar is really going to go a long way in reinforcing your rep as a badass wire. Maybe you should think of getting a motorcycle.

Goober love,
Stanley
