Pseudowhat???
Look at my red beard. Guess what I had for my tea...
Sorry pals. I know it's been an age since my last post and some of you have been concerned about me. The truth is, I've been really slowing down and the Js have been trying to find out if it's old age (hey, I'm still in my prime!) or something else.
After lots of vet visits and stuff it seems I have an extremely rare neuromuscular disorder called pseudomyotonia. This is usually associated with Cushing's Disease and is progressive with symptoms including muscle stiffness, weakness and wastage. It can be rather painful and means that I can no longer take walks longer than 10 minutes maximum or I really begin to stiffen up. Of course, the Js will just have to take me for 50 short walks a day instead of 3 longer ones. Sounds fine by me!
But all is not lost. Remember my dog pram? (Newer pals can read about it here). It means that I'll still be able to get to all my favourite haunts such as the beach or the park without having to walk too far (the Js are useless and don't have a car).
I'm sorry I don't have as much time to visit all your blogs as I once did but don't think I've forgotten you. Of course I miss you all heaps; hope you've missed me too!

Hi, I started visiting your blog around the time you got the stroller. I think that is a super idea. You can now still enjoy your trips out.
Sory to hear you are not in tip top health, but I hope they can keep it under control, so you get to enjoy some of lifes little pleasures.
Hugs GJ x
Gee Jackson...
We were really sorry ta hear that ya have yet another health challenge....ya are certainly unlucky in the health department.....
But yer the luckiest doggie we know in the love department......ya ended up with the best parents any doggie could want. If love can conquer all, then, ya will be OK......we're keepin' our paws crossed fer ya....

Oh Wow..I kinda liked that perambulator when I saw it, but then, I am a pretty mellow foxy fellow. Hope you enjoy it. Gotta say that Asta's folks don't have a car either, and my muzzer and Dad only have ONE! I miss the days of the alternate gussiemobile (which E.Rabbit has now) Can you make the pram be a convertible? Might be cool.

Hey Jax,
Check out my new wheels on my bloggie -I'm getting a special basket so I can ride along on bike rides without having to do any of the pedalling! Maybe the Js' could get one for you too.
Make sure they double the treats if they're going to cut back on the walk time!
Your pal,
Petey
hey Jackson! we are happy to hear from you. it sounds like you are doing okay, but we're kind of worried about you slowing down. we know you're not a young pup, but you are a terrier and that means crazy dude! is there any treatment for that pseudo--whatever-it-is? a lot of little walks sounds good, you can spread a lot of pee mail that way.
thanks for updating us! we've been concerned about you, buddy.
woofs.
Hi, Jackson!
Of course I missed you and I was worried too!
50 short walkies sound great to me!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Glad to see and hear from you , Jackson - did you have some strawberries today? Do you have Cushing's? Dakota does and Mom was wondering about that disorder. Among other things, she does have stiffness, weakness, and definitely wastage - losing an average of three pounds a month. We will have to read up on that a bit more. She also has very very high blood pressure so her walks aren't even 10 min. Tough to get old, ain't it?
Hope you feel better.

We are very sorry to hear about this buddy. We will be sending lots of healing vibes and hope you get those 39 short walks a day!!
Jackson! We've more than missed you. We've REALLY missed you! YOU were one of our first bloggie friends.
We're sorry to hear about your new diagnoses, but we are REALLY glad your people are taking good care of you and helping find out what's going on and how they can best make you comfortable (and happy!)
Your walking/strolling plan sounds good. Going to the beach and parks will be good for the soul. Keep up that positive attitude. You are an awesome wft.

Hey Jackson
We were so worried about you - glad to see your post this morning. I am sorry to hear you have that unpronounceable illness - but to be honest - your Js should be carrying you in a sedan chair while fanning you with feather fans...
Just a thought - like your beard - Jam Danish for breakfast?
Lots of licks

Hi Jackson
We have been wondering how you are. We were even contemplating hitching a lift around the M25 to come and see if you were OK.
Gosh Jackson that Pseud..... (it's a long word isn't it) you have been diagnosed with sounds a bit rough. Do take it steady, enjoy your walks, enjoy life and we know for sure your J's will be promenading along the prom with you this Summer in your special dog pram so that you can enjoy your favourite places.
Molly and Taffy
We think of you so often, Jackson!
Shorter walkies and more frequent ones sounds just fine to us and the pram sounds very stylish!
Did you have a jelly donut with your tea?
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
I miss you and I hope you will be fine.
Hi my fav WFT!
Love you lots - do take care.
Will see you again soon.

Howdy, Jackson! We were worried about you!
we're sorry to hear about that strange disease. Bu we are sure you and your J's will do anything you can to beat it.
Please keep posting.
Pipa
We hope you are going to be ok. Short walks and lot of them.
Simba and Jazzi xx
Our darling boy,Well what did you have for your tea?(Archie is guessing licorice) We of course are disheartened by another medical word that you have..BUT we know you and we know the J's and you will deal with it the best you all know how....Personally we think the pram is a SUPER cool idea.. get little sunglasses, take a cool drink, relax, put your paws up, bring a radio and off you go.Have we ever told you how lucky you are?No not that you have every medical thing is the terrier book of dogs, but that the J's found you......Love and so many squillion kisses we can not count them A+A
Of course if we had looked on here first, we wouldn't (we = Misery) have sounded so ignorant on FB.
Paws up for lots of short walks and hope it all gets under control.
Pippa
Oh, Jackson! I am so sorry to hear about your news! I kindof like the idea of being strolled around, but mama says they don't make strollers big enough!
I'm thinking of you!!!
Love,
Janie
Hey, Jax!
I'm glad for the update, but bummed about the pseudo thingy. At least you still get your walks. Hope you get at least the 50/day you were thinking you might need.
I was still wondering what exactly was on that beard of yours (in the photo). Did you just tree a squirrel and yank his bushy tail off, or did you just have yourself a bowl full of cherries?
Stella & I are sending you a boatload of healing goob smooches! We love ya, man!
Goober love,
Stanley
Yeah, of course I missed you! You're my favorite WFT. I'm sorry to hear that you have yet another health problem. I think 50 short walks would be even better that 3 long ones though. I don't think my girl would go for that idea though.
Woof,
Keeley
Sorry to hear this Jackson. We hope the medications will help to keep it under control...
Smoochies,
Solid Gold "Actress"
We have been sooooo worried about you, Jackson! We're really sorry to hear about the pseudo thing, but we know the J's will take great care of you.
I don't know if it would help you, but we get Liquid Health Level 5000 and really helps our old joints! You might want to ask your vet if it might help. If you want to try some, pee-mail us and we'll give you the link to the website.
Enjoy all your walkies in the pram!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches
Oh Jackson...we've been away and didn't know you had posted!! Your mom had written us bout your condition...we feel sad that you have another health challenge, but we're glad that you know what it is and can take steps to ward off things getting worse...and fifty walks a day sounds fab to us!!!
We have to go click on ur link...think your dog buggy was before we started bloggin'...why don't ya tie some of the wheelies to it...they'd love a walkie with ya, sweet boy....
We totally miss you....thanks for the update dear boy!!
Love ya lots!!!

We hope you are feeling better. We don't like it when you are feeling bad. Wishing you the best.
Hugs, Kodak
Jackson, I am so sorry to be late in commenting, my Editor is a lazy so and so, just lately.
Just wanted to say I am sorry to hear about your latest and totally unpronouncable medical problem, yay, though, the stroller sounds rather good.
Jackson on wheels.
Take care my friend,

I hear you are loving the pram Jax! Maybe I should see if mom will get one for me, although it will need to be significantly bigger.
