Boring vet stuff

My test results for Cushing's Disease came back and are inconclusive. I'm probably in the early stages so I've got to be re-tested again in 6 months. Cushing's Disesase has nothing whatsoever to do with:

Peter Cushing (British actor)

or even:

Cushions!

You can read more about it here.

Kidney Stones Update:

My kidney stones surgery is due to take place on Tuesday 12th June. Some of you asked how I got the stones in the first place. It wasn't really because of my love of stones, I was only teasing! I didn't get them from eating stones either (I never eat them, I just collect them). I got them because of the horrid medication I'm taking following the removal of the tumour in my neck. I should finish the medication in about 2 weeks and I'm hoping that once it's stopped I won't grow any more. The surgery will get rid of the existing stones and I'm also on a special diet to help prevent them coming back.

That is such a shame Jackson! A friend of Jeannie's, his dog is a Giant Snoutzar (not sure how to spell the name properly, spelt it as it is pronouced!) and Ailsa, for that is her name, has Cushings Disease.

She is much older than you, but has been told that as long as she takes the medication she will have a very long and happy life.

I wish you all the very best for 12 June and we will be thinking of you,

Much love Sweet Jackson,

Marvin and Jeannie xxxxxxxx

Hey, our Ma said we have Cushion Syndrome! Must be a terrier thing. They call me the Pillow-Princess, and Buster the Wonder dog just loves lounging on anything soft!

If they fix it, does that mean you have to sleep on the hard floor?

Hope it all works out,

Persephone & Buster

Oh dear poor Jackson. What awful things to happen to such a nice guy like you. Best of luck with your upcoming kidney stone surgery. I hear that one isn't too bad. My neighbior Poco (11 years old) just had that surgery done and he is doing fine. You will, too, jackson. Just keep that gorgeous head up. Also, I can't understand why other dogs don't like you. I do.

Thanks for answering my blog. I'm glad you like my new motto.

Good luck Jackson. I feel terrible about what has happened to you.

Lots of Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

G'day Jackson, I'm glad that the tests are at least inconclusive. At least that is hopeful. I'll be keeping my paws crossed for your kidney stone operwasion. I think you should take your mind off things by watching a Peter Cushing movie - Star Wars is my favowite. xxx Asta down under

Aw--Poor Jackson! You take your medicine, you get stones! Sheesh! Well, I hope your two-mores go away and you can stop taking your stone-producing medicine. And I hope Peter Cushing comes to your house to be your nurse.

Poor you Jackson, we feel so bad. Can't they zap the stones with a laser or something? I thought they could do that?

You are in our prayers dear one:)

BIG hugs and love from Billy Boo:)
