Walking the Dog

Heard about the new graphic novel that features a Wire Fox Terrier? It's called "Walking the Dog" by British illustrator David Hughes and stars his WFT Dexter.

Some of you may have already read about it cos J1 and her previous WFT, Watson, are mentioned in it and she's been blabbing about it all over the place. Take a look at her Forever Foxed blog to read more.

Anyway, the book is strictly for grown ups, not pipsqueaks, because there is some (ahem) "adult content" with a few HBO words thrown in. And it's not just a book about walking the dog even though that's the title. Confusing huh? Well, I liked the book as it was funny and a bit rude in places but as usual we got far too much of the humans and not enough of Dexter the Dog, the real hero of the piece. I'd like to know what Dexter thinks. I hope he's getting a big cut...

Want a pawtograph?

At last, fame and fortune await! No, I haven't been signed up for the new Tintin film (Steven, I'm still available and waiting for your call!). But I AM the star of J1's latest Forever Foxed card:

I know this seems like yet another shameless plug but I was so excited to see my handsome old self on the card! You can read more about it here on J1's boring blog if you like, but don't feel obliged or anything.

Twit!

I always thought J1 was a bit of a twit. My suspicions are now confirmed as she has signed up for Twitter. Yet another distraction to keep her away from updating my blog. You can tweet to her here, if you like. She's already following a few of you, but not in a creepy way, (or so she says!), hehehe...

Blog rivalry and bed update

J1 has started her own Forever Foxed blog. What's the big idea? She already knows that it won't get anywhere near as many visitors as mine so I don't know why she's bothering. Ho hum, sometimes you just have to humour the humans, I guess. You can take a look if you really must but please don't encourage her too much. Her real job is waiting on me hand and paw and being my typist. That shouldn't leave her much time for anything else.

More on the new memory foam bed. It really is the ♥BEST♥... I like it so much that I'm actually too comfy to get up in the morning and J1 has to prise me out of it with a chisel! J1 has a couple of complaints though. She says that the fleecy base which is a strange oatmeal colour already looks dirty even though it isn't and she thinks the bolster bit is too noisy. According to her it "rustles" every time I turn over. What do I care, it's giving me the best nights sleep I've had in years! Sweet dreams...

Handsome-ish again

I know, I know, it's been an AGE since I blogged. Did you miss me?

The Js and I have been caught up in all my medical stuff and it was getting kinda dull so I thought I'd wait until I was feeling a little bit perkier. Still having my regular vet trips but I think I'm finally over the worst. And I had a haircut today so I thought you might like to see me looking handsome-ish again. Still a bit lopsided from where I was shaved for surgery but now you can hardly see the join!

Regular (and eagle-eyed) readers may notice that the plant in the background is still clinging onto life. J1 hasn't QUITE managed to kill it yet...don't worry, she will...

In my last post I promised to show you some more of my pawsome birthday gifts so here goes...

My pals, Asta Marie, Toby and Dewey sent me 2 x bully sticks, a beautiful trinket box made by their clever human and a lobster stuffie. I'm afraid the lobster toy is no longer with us. I destroyed it yesterday, before this photoshoot.

Did you see the lovely WFT and the RAT on the box??? This is fantabulous! You may wonder what I was doing while this photo was being taken. Well, I was chewing on the other bully stick, but where is Koobuss' bully stick holder when I need them??

I also received a gift from my pals, Noah, Tess, Willow and Lucy in Australia. They sent me a training shoe stuffie (alas, now departed) a Good Cuz which is a work in progress, some delicious snackies and a lovely WFT pen which I MAY let J1 borrow from time to time.

The Good Cuz seems to be missing one of his feet. Oops!

Thank you so much Dewey, Asta Marie, Toby, Noah, Willow, Tess and Lucy; these gifts really cheered me up and I absolutely LOVED them all.

So what else have we been doing? Well, J1 has expanded her Forever Foxed empire and now has a store on Etsy, as well as her regular website. Take a look at our new tapestry cards cos one of the designs is based on J1's interpretation of ME!

I'll be visiting your blogs and catching up shortly. Please forgive me for missing some of your birthdays and gotcha days. I'm so glad to be back...

The Secret Mission

I know that some of you have been wondering what's happened to the dog on wheels gang. They've been very quiet recently. Well, I can now reveal that they've been on a secret mission. Oh yes, they've somehow managed to get their ugly mugs on a range of Forever Foxed charity greetings cards and they didn't even ask me or Dunstan!

There are four cards featuring Hamilton, Seymour and Barnaby and for each sale Forever Foxed will donate £1.00 to different Fox Terrier charities here in the UK and also in the USA. Pretty nifty, eh?

Fancy a sneak preview of one of the cards? Oh go on then...

They can all be purchased via the Forever Foxed website. International sales are welcome.

While you're there, check out the new Alphabet of Terriers range featuring Airedales, Irish Terriers and Wire Fox Terriers, of course!

As for me and Dunstan, well, we're going on strike!

Forever Foxed Christmas Cards!

Hey pals, J1 and I have been working on some Xmas cards. Due to a temporary hitch in uploading images to the Forever Foxed website (J1 is such a luddite!), they can be bought on eBay here in packs of 3 or 5 cards + envelopes. There's a WFT (shown below), Irish Terrier and Airedale design. International buyers welcome (via Paypal).

Forever Foxed

J1 is always looking for greeting cards with Wire Fox Terriers on them. It's turned into a bit of an obsession over the years. Last Christmas she hunted high and low for nice cards, and while she bought some cute Xmas photo cards from the Fox Terrier Network, she couldn't get any she liked that featured quirky drawings or illustrations of us handsome mutts. Instead of doing her usual moaning, she was spurred on to make some herself. Rather to her surprise, they were quite well received, and this, in turn, made her wonder if anyone else would be interested. After much agonising, she designed some more cards (inspired by handsome me, of course!) commissioned a website and so hey presto, Forever Foxed is about to be launched on the unsuspecting public.

The cards feature our 3 favourite terrierific breeds; WFTs, Airedales and of course, Irish Terriers. More card designs coming soon but J1 can only draw dogs that are kinda square!

The website was designed by the lovely Reagan (another WFT owner) at Zea Creative who has the patience of a SAINT, dealing with J1's stoopid questions. Thanks Reagan!

We'd also like to thank S at Idleformat for his technical expertise. Thanks pal!

Please take a look at the website; we hope you like it!
