The Secret Mission

I know that some of you have been wondering what's happened to the dog on wheels gang. They've been very quiet recently. Well, I can now reveal that they've been on a secret mission. Oh yes, they've somehow managed to get their ugly mugs on a range of Forever Foxed charity greetings cards and they didn't even ask me or Dunstan!

There are four cards featuring Hamilton, Seymour and Barnaby and for each sale Forever Foxed will donate £1.00 to different Fox Terrier charities here in the UK and also in the USA. Pretty nifty, eh?

Fancy a sneak preview of one of the cards? Oh go on then...

They can all be purchased via the Forever Foxed website. International sales are welcome.

While you're there, check out the new Alphabet of Terriers range featuring Airedales, Irish Terriers and Wire Fox Terriers, of course!

As for me and Dunstan, well, we're going on strike!

A fish-eye view

J1's friend T bought her a pawsome Lomo fisheye camera for Christmas. It's not a digital camera so we had to wait for AGES to use up the film and get the prints developed. Also, you can't really use the viewfinder cos the lens cuts across it, so all the shots are trial and error. Our first pictures were in artsy black and white. Some of them are quite scary.

The Case of the Missing Sweet Potato

It all started on Saturday. J2 had gone to watch his football team lose as usual and J1 and I were alone in the house. It was a cold and dark day. Rain lashed at the windows. In order to kill some time before my lunch I decided to follow Butchy & Snickers' recipe for making sweet potato chews.
I got my human secretary, J1, to wash the potatoes and slice them into thick wedges. Job done.

Then they were placed in the oven for 3 hours.

When they were cooked J1 put them to one side to cool down. I was distracted as I was conducting a forensic examination of a new so-called indestructible dog toy. Later that evening I decided to check and see how the chews had turned out. Notice anything STRANGE about this photo?

Yes, it appears that one slice is MISSING!

Thinking quickly, I reached for my detective coat (sorry Joe!) and looked for credible witnesses. Dunstan was keeping quiet as usual, but Barnaby was only too happy to blab.

Who do you think the culprit was?

That's right, you guessed it, it was J1 all along! She thought they looked really tasty as they were cooking and decided to eat a slice with her dinner.

Another excellent piece of police work by Detective Jackson. Case closed.

Vet stuff

Hey pals, Barnaby here.

Remember me? Yes, I'm the responsible member of the "dog on wheels" toy gang.

Jackson is staying overnight at the vet hospital and he asked me to let you all know that he's doing OK. He's having loads of nasty tests today and tomorrow and we probably won't get the results back until next week. He knows that you're all rooting for him. I'll let you know as soon as we have any news. In the meantime, I'm off to check up on my pal Seymour cos I think he's raising hell over at Scruffy and Lacie's place.

Tagged! Again!

Ruby tagged me! I have to show a photo of me with another animal and write a caption underneath. I know this is cheating slightly, cos it's only Barnaby but here goes:

I am NOT a toy!

Who hasn't been tagged for this? Let me see, I nominate Buster, Asta (NY) and Billy

I've been nominated for Photo of the Month!

Hello pals, Barnaby here.

Now I know some of you might confuse me with Seymour but I'm much nicer. Here we are together for comparison.

As you can see I'm far more handsome, although I do have rather more hair loss. I'm OK with that though. Not all ladies like the hirsute look do they?

Anyway, imagine how thrilled I was to discover that my pal Buster has very kindly nominated me for the Dogs with Blogs Photo of the Month. Oh, I suppose I should mention that Jackson is also in the photo. He's mugging for the camera as usual while I'm standing modestly at the back.

By the way, any ladies out there looking for love might be interested to know that I'm currently single, rather mature (about 60 years old but I don't look my age) and most importantly, I've got my own wheels.

Wait till I get my paws on that Seymour!

My pal Barnaby has just told me about Seymour taking over my blog and trying to move in on my stuff while I was away. Wait till I get my paws on him...I hope that you weren't encouraging him and giving him ideas above his station. Grrrrrrrrr.
