Dog on Wheels

Today J1 received a pawsome gift from Buster's mum. It's a CD by Belle & Sebastian called "Dog on Wheels". J1 has actually seen this band live a long time ago, but didn't have the CD, so she was delighted! As for me, well I think you can have enough of a good thing. I preferred it when the dogs on wheels lived in a cupboard and didn't try and take over my blog.

Anyway, here's a video of the title song, "Dog on Wheels". It does feature a few toys near the end. If you aren't tired of them by now.

Vet stuff

Hey pals, Barnaby here.

Remember me? Yes, I'm the responsible member of the "dog on wheels" toy gang.

Jackson is staying overnight at the vet hospital and he asked me to let you all know that he's doing OK. He's having loads of nasty tests today and tomorrow and we probably won't get the results back until next week. He knows that you're all rooting for him. I'll let you know as soon as we have any news. In the meantime, I'm off to check up on my pal Seymour cos I think he's raising hell over at Scruffy and Lacie's place.

Quiet please

Shhhhhh! Jackson's asleep. Probably still hung over from Asta & Bailey's birthday pawty. Look, he's sneaked onto J1 & J2's bed again. He has some kind of radar that just knows when their bedroom door has been left open. He knows he's not allowed in there but his mission in life is to jump on the bed and drool all over J1's pillow.

In case you're wondering, it's me, Dunstan here. Yes, I know you've read about the other dog on wheels toys, Seymour, Hamilton and Barnaby but I'm the tall quiet one. I may not be fluffy but I think I'm J1's favourite. Don't tell the others though, they might get jealous.

Like Jackson I'm a rescue dog too. I was found languishing in a shed where I'd been for years with no-one to talk to. J1 rehomed me last year. I'm much bigger than the other toys and I'm made of plastic. I think I'm about 50 years old, so I'm kind of in my prime. It's my job to watch over Hamilton, Barnaby and Seymour and make sure they don't get into too much trouble. Remember when Seymour escaped from the coal cellar and got drunk on absinthe? That was because I wasn't around to keep them out of trouble!

I think I hear yawning and scratching coming from the bedroom. Jackson must have woken up. Better go pals, don't want him to catch me!

Hamilton reporting

Hey pals, I'm Hamilton and I've been authorised by Jackson to take over his blog while he's in hospital. I've just come out of hospital myself so I know what he's going through. I've been in a toy hospital for the last few months having a hair transplant. OK, I know it sounds frivolous, but I was almost totally bald, rather grubby and I'd lost my nose somewhere along the way. Here are a couple of before and after photos:

Jackson went into hospital today for pre-op tests and is having his kidney stones removed by surgery tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on his progress...

Toodle pip!

I've been nominated for Photo of the Month!

Hello pals, Barnaby here.

Now I know some of you might confuse me with Seymour but I'm much nicer. Here we are together for comparison.

As you can see I'm far more handsome, although I do have rather more hair loss. I'm OK with that though. Not all ladies like the hirsute look do they?

Anyway, imagine how thrilled I was to discover that my pal Buster has very kindly nominated me for the Dogs with Blogs Photo of the Month. Oh, I suppose I should mention that Jackson is also in the photo. He's mugging for the camera as usual while I'm standing modestly at the back.

By the way, any ladies out there looking for love might be interested to know that I'm currently single, rather mature (about 60 years old but I don't look my age) and most importantly, I've got my own wheels.

Wait till I get my paws on that Seymour!

My pal Barnaby has just told me about Seymour taking over my blog and trying to move in on my stuff while I was away. Wait till I get my paws on him...I hope that you weren't encouraging him and giving him ideas above his station. Grrrrrrrrr.

Crufts and stuff

For the second year running a Wire Fox Terrier was Reserve at Crufts. Wooooohoooo. Did you know that the last time a WFT won was in 1978? His name was Ch Harrowhill Huntsman.

I thought you might like to see my rosette. In case you can't read it , it was awarded to me for being the most exceptionally handsome dog on wheels. Ever.

Jackson is back home tomorrow. Crumbs, I'd better destroy all evidence of my blog takeover or he might be very cross.

Until next time...

Seymour steals the show

Hello, I'm Seymour, Jackson's pal. Jackson had to go back into hospital for a few more days so he asked me to fill in for him. Don't worry though, he's doing OK and should be home again next week.

Jackson's doesn't usually let me play with his toys or sit in his bed so I'm going to make the most of it while he's away! I might even invite some friends over...

Mmmmmm, look at these tasty snacks. Do you think he'll notice if I help myself?

Ooooooo, lots of lovely toys for me to play with!

Ahhhhh, this is nice and comfy
Come on lads, lets party!

Until next time...

Good dog, bad dog. Which is which?

This is me with one of my toy friends. I like him better than a real dog because he doesn't mind me pushing him around.
